On the never ending hunt for the perfect nude heel? Christian Louboutin is helping women everywhere find the perfect nude pump through their new color matching app.
Five classic Louboutin styles have been ‘re-designed’ into 5 skin tone shades, set to match the everyday woman. Louboutin is hoping to redefine the term ‘nude heel’ to mean a heel customized to your own skin tone. The 5 shades, ranging from fair blush to rich chestnut, aim to match as close as humanly possible to the wearer’s own skin. What does that mean for us ladies? A beautiful elongated leg.
‘They disappear like magic and become a fluid extension of her legs, as in a sketch, elongating the silhouette,’ states Louboutin. “The shoes are there to give the woman an extra lift, not to take attention away from the legs and what she is wearing.”
The five redesigned styles? They include the point toe Pigalle, the curvier Fifi and Simple Pump, as well as the Flo and the signature hidden platform of the Vendome peep toe pump. There’s a nude heel for every occasion here!
To help women chose a shade, Louboutin has also launched the Louboutin Shades app, available at the iTunes app store. All you need to do is take a picture of your own foot, and the app will match you with the shade most appropriate for your skin tone.
